Tomato Crusted Meatloaf


Bauman's tomato butter caramelizes in the oven to give this meatloaf a flavorful crust.

Ingredients

• 1½ pounds ground beef
• ¾ cup old fashioned oats
• 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
• ½ cup Bauman’s Ketchup
• 1 egg, lightly beaten
• 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ¼ teaspoon black pepper
• ¼ cup Bauman’s tomato butter


Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 350° F.
2. Combine all ingredients except tomato butter in a bowl by hand. Pack mixture into a loaf plan.
3. Brush tomato butter over the meatloaf. As the meatloaf bakes, the tomato butter will caramelize and form a crust on top of the meatloaf.
4. Cover loaf pan with aluminum foil. Bake 50-60 minutes. Check that the internal temperature is at least 160° F.
5. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
